On November 17, WMU College of Health and Human Services hosted Fall 2022 Burian Lecturer Dr. stef m. shuster to speak on trans medicine—an area, they note, where most medical practitioners often get little training
“My book, Trans Medicine,” they said, “begins as an acknowledgement that providers of trans medicine have established authority over gender, and asks ‘How has the authority over gender happened? What has become normal and legitimate through decades of practice in trans medicine and what are the consequences of these trends for trans medicine and the medical establishment more broadly?’”
