Spring Semester Goal Brainstorming – Holley
Goals Selected:
- Gather and post Teaching resources to ABAR website – Gwen, Kate, Sophia, Chris
- Aiming to get more diverse materials (beyond the anti-racist angle and expanding to all forms of inclusion)
- Student Feedback on where they would like to see the department move in their ABAR work (how can we improve classes, etc.) – Alen, Kristen, Krista
- What would this look like; what questions do we ask, how do we ask those?
- This may help us make headway on number 3 in future semesters
- Curricular reform – Richard, Maria, Meghann, Holley
- Requires faculty buy in
- Long-term goal – too complex to tackle fully in one semester
- How can we make small changes; not whole course overalls, but thinking about how we teach courses, etc – advertise courses in certain ways
- Could be talking to Todd about
- Changes to catalog descriptions is a long process; but what can we do shorter term?
